Specializing in women's health, fertility, and pain management

Welcome to My Practice

I am Petra Noll, non-medical practitioner in Hamburg-Altona (Ottensen).
Since 2005, I have been treating patients using methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine — with a special focus on women’s health, an area I have been actively developing since 2012.

What drives me: the holistic approach of TCM.

TCM doesn't just ask what hurts — it asks why, and what has become out of balance in the body's system. I ask these questions anew with every treatment.

What this means in practice:

I don't treat isolated symptoms; instead, I look at the person as a whole. From a TCM perspective, poor sleep, hormonal fluctuations, and chronic back pain are often interconnected — and can therefore be addressed together.

About me

I have been working in the medical field since 1990 — first as a state-certified massage therapist, and since 2005 as a naturopath. In 2008, I spent several weeks at the University of TCM in Chengdu, China. As a certified Qigong instructor (German Qigong Society e.V.), I also offer regular Qigong classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have endometriosis and would also like to have a child—can you help me with both at the same time?

Yes—that’s one of my main areas of focus. Endometriosis and infertility are often linked, and I treat both together using acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy, and nutritional counseling based on TCM. Since November 2025, Naila Rediske has been supplementing my practice’s services with systemic individual and couples counseling specifically focused on endometriosis. Learn more on my page about endometriosis and about fertility treatment.

What sets your practice apart from a general naturopathic practice?

The most important difference is specialization. Since 2012, I have developed a clear focus on women’s health—with fertility, endometriosis, menstrual symptoms, and menopause as central topics. I do not offer a broad range of naturopathic treatments for all ailments, but rather a specialized TCM practice with a clear focus. In addition, my time studying at the University of TCM in Chengdu, China, continues to shape my work to this day.

What happens during a first appointment with you?

The first appointment includes a detailed medical history and your first acupuncture treatment—together lasting about 90 minutes. I’ll ask about your symptoms, your sleep, your menstrual cycle, your diet, and much more. Then I’ll check your pulse on both wrists and examine your tongue—both of which are classic diagnostic methods in TCM. Based on this, I’ll develop a personalized treatment plan. I’ve described the exact process on my page about the initial consultation.

Do you also see patients from the Hamburg area?

Yes—some of my patients come from the wider metropolitan area. My practice is located 300 meters from the Ottensen S-Bahn station and is accessible by S-Bahn directly from Lübeck, Lüneburg, Stade, and other cities. The practice is also easily accessible from Harburg and the southern part of Hamburg.

Note:

In all my therapeutic approaches, I draw on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This is not scientifically recognized and is considered a form of alternative medicine.
